Lou Pucci in talks for 'Evil Dead'
Pucci"Thumbsucker" star Lou Taylor Pucci is within foretells join the youthful ensemble of FilmDistrict and Mandate Pictures' reboot of "The Evil Dead."Jane Levy ("Suburgatory") and Shiloh Fernandez ("Red-colored Riding Hood") were lately cast within the pic, the industry reinvention of Mike Raimi's 1981 cult classic about several teens in a remote cabin who uncover a magazine from the Dead that sets loose devils they cannot control. As the new plot is comparable to the initial, it's a new take that does not range from the Ash character performed by Bruce Campbell.Pucci will have Eric, a powerful academic whose intellectual curiosity will get him and the buddies into trouble.Fede Alvarez will direct from the script he co-authored with Rodo Sayagues, with revisions by Diablo Cody. Raimi, Campbell and Take advantage of Tapert will produce for Ghost House Pictures, and The new sony Pictures will distribute the film..Pucci first got Hollywood's attention as he toplined Mike Mills' directorial debut "Thumbsucker." Thesp co-starred in Richard Kelly's sophomore feature "Southland Tales" and much more lately, he became a member of Chris Pine and Piper Perabo within the horror pic "Service providers."Pucci is repped by UTA and Authentic Talent and Literary Management.
